Il Rostom is a dormitory for the homeless located in the outskirts of Bologna. It looks like a phantom lunar base in the middle of the countryside where neon strips outline the contours of insomniacs who get up in the middle of the night and come out for a cigarette or a chat. Weaving together their stories is David, an Englishman who has been wandering around the world for seven years and arrived at Il Rostom exhausted and with a desire to get back on his feet and talk about his life.
