Determined to achieve great box office success, a film producer decides to make a movie about a modern Jesus Christ.
On paper, the project seems like a guaranteed hit, and the potential Italian distributor enthusiastically welcomes the proposal.
Tristano, the main character, performs divinations on behalf of God and exorcisms that free his patients from the demons that afflict them. Among his patients is Salvatore, a man torn between hope and doubt, aware that only a miracle can restore his sight.
Yet as filming begins, an unforeseen complication emerges: Tristano declares that he will perform real miracles on camera – without the use of any special effects.
