“Renzo Renzi” Library of the Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna
The initial core of the collection were the books on cinema that belonged to the Archiginnasio Municipal Library And those that film director and writer Renzo Renzi decided to make available to the Cineteca, along with a trove of photographs. Over time, through purchases and donations from important archives, the Library has become one of the main centres for cinema documentation.
In addition to the archives of the Associazione Fondo Pier Paolo Pasolini (1942-2004), CristaldiFilm (1940-1990), Rank Film Distributors of Italy (1948-1995) and the Consorzio regionale emiliana esercenti cinema (1960-1990), worthy of notice are the archives of Guido Aristarco (1909-2003), Laura Betti (1975-2004), Alfredo Bini (1960-1975), Alessandro Blasetti (1917-2002), Mara Blasetti (1951-1986), Sergio Citti (1950-2005), Carla Del Poggio (1941-1999), Alberto Farassino (1960-2003) and Ermanno Olmi (2000-2003).
