World War II: Humans, plagued by hunger, cold and fear are now incapable of feeling love. It so happens that an abandoned infant is rescued by a heroic little white dog, who adopts him, christens him Arf and raises him with his four-legged companions. Half man, half dog, the little one grows up strong, happy and above all unaware of the cruelty that inhabits the earth. Until one day he is discovered, arrested and taken to a prison camp. But Arf, with the innocence and lightness of someone who has never had anything from life, turns the entire camp upside down, confuses the jailers, subverts all the rules. And when one day in the lager the Führer himself arrives, with the help of his canine family, he manages to organize an escape at the head of a group of children.
