Into my name
Leo, Andrea, Raff and Nic are four very close friends from various corners of Italy. They met in Bologna, the undisputed LGBTQI capital of the country, the Italian city with the most vibrant gay scene, where tolerance and the presence of gender conscious associations is the norm. Leo, Raff and Andrea are young and are in the process of transitioning from a female to a male gender identity and they mean to go through with it. Day by day they bravely confront their desire to be who they are.
Nic on the other hand still hasn’t decided, and there’s no telling whether he will. He has a “non-binary” identity, he’s in a state of flux, on a journey of exploration, straddling the line of various possible gender identities. Nic is also the oldest of the group, he has a job, he’s married and with his wife he has already developed a plan for his life.
For the four friends getting through the day often means turning the world on its head. The essential, tiresome daily resolve they each have to display is fuelled by a small great dream: to go for a trip together. A yearning that finally takes place and frees up a great amount of energy.
