Bologna in the 1960s. Mimmo, 9, is a difficult child. Son of Sicilian immigrants, he would rather ramble the streets with his elder brother’s gang than go to school. But Mimmo sings very well and one day, his desperate mother Ernestina, takes him to a call for a song contest. An advice his teacher gave her: the music could save Mimmo. The audition will be the beginning of a show bound to make Italian history: Lo Zecchino d’Oro!
