La stanza indaco

Directed by MARTA MINIUCCHI | Feature film |

The Indigo Room is the love story between two boys who are little more than teenagers who live an original, extreme, fantastic experience in an uncommon place. The indigo room is the intensive care unit of the hospital of an important city in central northern Italy, closely connected to its thousand-year-old and prestigious University. Study is practiced here, excellent research and medicine, with international standards. Ensures physical care and psychological and existential well-being of the patient. The patient is treated not (only) for his pathologies, but as a person, with feelings and needs of life and relationships. Also
places have been designed and equipped to guarantee safety and comfort, marginalizing the perception of suffering. In short, here the humanization of care is practiced, in the sense that the sick person comes before the illness. It’s intensive care, no longer intensive care. In this open space, between two kids tested by life and already adults, can blossom and grow an unbreakable love. This story is partially based on a real story happened, he tells it
