Jack has a brother, Già, who suffers from Down
syndrome. As a child, Jack believed the tender lie his parents told him, that Già was a special being with superpowers, like in a comic book. Now that he is atout to enter high school, however, Jack no longer believes that his brother is a superhero; in fact, he is almost ashamed of him, especially since he met Arianna, the first love of his life. Jack cannot allow himself to make any gaffes with the girl of his dreams and looking after his little brother and his unpredictable behavior soon becomes a burden, to the point that Jack pretends that he doesn’t have a brother at ali, hiding Già’s existence from his classmates and, above ali, from Arianna. But you cannot be loved by someone for who you are if you cannot love others for who they are: this is the life lesson that Già will teach Jack, with his unique point of view and simple but surprisingly wise words.
