After more than a century since Giovanni Pascoli’s death,
the bond of secrecy on the correspondence with his
brother, Raffaele, has lapsed.
There are hundreds of pages in which the poet speaks of
himself, of desires, fears and melancholies, of physical
and intellectual needs. A new voice emerges from those
letters, that of the poet who confides in a brother.
The film recounts Pascoli, one of the greatest Italian
poets, intertwining the intimate voice of the poet with his story and his poetry.
