Universitas tenebrarum

They are full professors, associate professors, researchers, assistants, doctoral students, secretaries, ushers, and janitors. They bustle through crowded classrooms, historic buildings, hallways, and libraries of the fantastical ‘Faculty of Sociology of Dead Languages’ at an imaginary Italian university determined to climb the ranks of world universities and secure more funding. Every day, they clash with an army of students from all over Italy—some will stay the years needed to complete their studies, while others will get stuck for many years. Students and professors are forced to share restrooms, classrooms, hallways, time, life plans, aspirations, and nightmares in a comedic dance of forced relationships.
