The Pantani Affair winds its way through a period of
five years in the life of the champion of Romagna, from
and including the 5th of June 1999 until the 14th
February 2004, the date of his death. The story of
Marco Pantani is the rise and fall of a much”loved
hero, a one way ticket, running from the world and
from himself. We will discover a Marco Pantani very
different to the scornful and libelous tales of certain
newspapers, we will rediscover a young man in love
with life, humble and sincere with his friends,
determined in his search for revenge on the world of
cycling. A genuine and stubborn native of Romagna,
who ended up in a fight with no holds barred which
left him with no way out.
