Love for Steve - A film about Steve Grossman

Directed by Luisa Grosso | |

The documentary film chronicles Steve Grossman, a New York saxophonist referred to by Elvin Jones as “John Coltrane’s heir,” his life, career and relationship with Bologna, where he lived for more than two decades, creating a veritable school around him, marking the future of dozens of young Italian musicians. Bologna, several times, saved his life. Saving Steve Grossman meant saving jazz.
