Senza chiedere permesso
Nicole is 19, has cerebral palsy, and wants to be like any other girl: go to university, party, have sex, fall in love. But for now, her life consists of online classes and shifts at the small-town grocery store run by her adoptive, overprotective parents. One day, Nicole takes a leap into the unknown and boards a train to university on her own. Just outside the campus, she meets Marta: 25, a sharp, impulsive, law student in the middle of an existential and financial crisis. She can no longer afford her rent in the city, but has
no intention of asking her mother for help. United by a shared desire for freedom, Nicole and Marta make a deal: Nicole will pay the rent for both of them with her disability allowance, while Marta will be her caregiver, looking after her. Between parties, exams and first experiences, their new life together begins. At least, until Nicole realizes Marta isn’t who she claims to be, and the problems chasing her make her unable to truly care for someone else. But does that really matter compared to the freedom Nicole has finally tasted thanks to Marta? A Wild Friendship is the true (and crazy) story of a girl who wants to be free and independent, and of a friendship that is as wrong as it is life-saving.
