An old man traces a sign on a mysterious notebook, then takes a child in the car towards the country hills once there he hands her a shovel to dig a hole. On the notebook there are more signs, the worst is feared, but in reality the man wants to pass on his passion for nature to the child: together they plant a little tree right at the point where the forest stops, the work that the old man carried on silently for a lifetime, marking a sign for each tree planted.
