Boxeo Havana Social Club

In the barrio Colón, close to Havana’s famous Capitol, is the Gimnasio de Boxeo Centro Habana: here young aspiring boxers are trained to believe in their dreams and in the strength that comes from a community, thanks to the vision of the gym’s founder, Samuel Fabbri – a former tour guide and boxer from Bologna, Italy. The stories and desires of the kids and their coaches around a discipline that is not violence, but a life philosophy, return a popular anthology where the microcosm of the gimnasio is the basis for actualizing the thoughts on the world’s most utopian and resilient nation.
